Dixon Properties has been in the hotel business for over 40 years, we strive to provide guests with exceptional service and value through quality built hotels and a great history in the hospitality industry.
Merritt Woodhull Dixon IV “Sandy” has been in the hotel business in Savannah for over 40 years. Sandy is a Savannah native who learned the hospitality industry first hand from his Father Merritt Woodhull Dixon III. Merritt was an entrepreneur and developer involving motels, subdivisions, and the Hyatt Regency Hotel. Early in Sandy’s career, he operated several Howard Johnsons, Days Inns and a Red Roof Inn. He opened his first Marriott franchise with the Fairfield Inn I-95 South in 1999. From there Sandy went on to develop two additional Marriott products with the Springhill Suites Savannah Airport in 2005 and the Springhill Suites Savannah Gateway in 2006. In 2008 he entered the extended stay market with the TownePlace Suites Savannah Airport by Marriott.
Merritt Woodhull Dixon V “Quint” entered the hotel business in 2006 at the five diamond Greenbrier Resort in West Virginia. In 2007 he moved to Charlotte, North Carolina and began working hotel operations for Marriott International. After several years with Marriott, Quint joined Dixon properties as Managing Partner in 2010.
